Did you know that as many as 70-80% of Americans are vitamin D deficient? I can’t recall witnessing a greater transformation than that of vitamin D. For years, I think most of us thought of vitamin D as mild mannered calcium helper Clark Kent. However today, thanks to a wealth of new studies, we can say vitamin D is really more akin to Superman given it’s importance to health and the prevention of disease.
In fact, one researcher recently stated that as many as 600,000 cases per year of breast and colon cancer could be prevented by increased vitamin D consumption.
That brings me to today’s podcast with guest Ann Allworth Ph.D. In this episode we discuss what vitamin D is, how it works in the body, and why it is now said to be one of the most important supplements you could take!
